Pantone Fall Fashion: Coral is a stunner for fall!
Coral is such a wonderful color. Like golden glow, it may seem like an unusual choice for fall, but I definitely don’t think so! I went a little crazy finding coral-colored pieces this time around because there were just so many that I had a seriously difficult time trying to narrow it down to just a handful! Coral is probably one of the most under-worn and under-appreciated colors, and it’s time to change that!!
My absolute favorite pick is the Betsey Johnson octopus ring, by far! I know I just wrote about bizarre rings, but this is just adorable! I also love the draped dress from French Connection because it’s a nice change from all the bodycon dresses we’ve been seeing lately–it looks very Greek goddess!
Speaking of fantastic coral dresses, I saw this photo of Leona Lewis in Roberto Cavalli at his 40th Anniversary Party recently and decided that that dress, in white, should be my wedding dress. It’s beyond amazing, and she looks stunning in it! How could you not immediately want to incorporate this gorgeous color into your wardrobe?!
If you’re keeping it casual, try the sweatshirt from Aerie–one of my newest favorite places for “lounge” clothes that are comfy and stylish! I still prefer to wait for one of their great sales, but their regular prices aren’t half bad for cute sweats! The t-shirts I chose are also great for that casual-chic look because they look way better than the typical heather-gray of most lounge clothing.
Coral pairs best with light blues, pinks (see the scarf above), grays and black, so it’s actually more versatile than you might think. Coral dresses are the way to go if you want to depart from basic black and achieve that “wow” factor. If you’re not looking to spend too much, it’s super easy to throw on a coral scarf or grab a coral clutch to experiment with one of this season’s hottest colors!
